About Us
Chainway Labs is seeking a DevRel Engineer to join our team at Citrea, Bitcoin’s First ZK Rollup.
At Citrea, our goal is to secure on-chain finance with Bitcoin. We believe that Bitcoin and its values should be scaled to serve as the standard for decentralized finance. Achieving this vision requires scaling Bitcoin with zero-knowledge proofs, ensuring on-chain verifiability and data availability within the Bitcoin network.
This approach makes Citrea the first scaling solution to enable more complex applications without compromising Bitcoin security and changing its consensus rules.
Our Mission
At Chainway Labs, we are dedicated to scaling the Bitcoin Network, with a vision to transform financial infrastructure globally. Upholding core values of privacy, innovation, and scalability, we strive to build solutions that embody these principles within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
The Role
We’re hiring a DevRel Engineer to help developers succeed with Citrea. Your mission is to be the voice of the developer within the team and the voice of the protocol to the outside world. You’ll ensure our documentation is clear, comprehensive, and continuously improving. You’ll create engaging content from tutorials to sample apps to walkthroughs that makes building on Citrea a joy. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and ecosystem teams to identify pain points, and solve them before they become blockers.
This is not just a content creation job; it’s for someone technical, empathetic, and excited to help web3 developers build the future of Bitcoin.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve developer documentation, tutorials, quickstarts, and integration guides
- Create high-quality content: sample dApps, blog posts, videos, FAQs, walkthroughs, code snippets
- Engage with developers on X, Discord, GitHub, Telegram, YouTube and other channels; surface common pain points to the product management & engineering teams and provide hands-on support
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams and external partners such as developer tooling providers to clarify features, flag confusing UX, and advocate for developer needs
- Help design and maintain a best-in-class developer onboarding flow
- Due diligence on inbound ecosystem projects and teams, evaluating their technical capabilities and feasibility.
- Engage with Citrea Origins, Citrea’s incubation program, by funneling top developers from the ecosystem into incubation and contributing to the success of existing teams.
- Track community sentiment, identify friction points, and champion feedback into the product
- Speak at or support virtual events, hackathons, and community activations when relevant
Required Skills
- Have deep understanding of both Bitcoin and EVM ecosystems (e.g. BTC script, L1 security models, Solidity, rollups, etc.)
- Are a strong technical writer who can explain complex concepts clearly and simply
- Have built web3 applications and understand developer tools and workflows
- Have strong empathy for developers; you’ve shipped code yourself and know what good DX feels like
- Are curious and passionate about ZkEVM, rollups, and Bitcoin
- Are a user and a researcher of DeFi protocols on other chains
- Enjoy engaging with the developer community on Social Media (X, Discord, Youtube)
- Have previous DevRel experience or community building in a web3 project
- Have experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
- Have experience running or participating in hackathons
- Have knowledge of Rust, TypeScript, or zero knowledge proofs
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation package, including equity options
- Remote work setting
- Engaging community activities that foster team bonding and collaboration.
- A welcoming atmosphere where every team member's opinion is valued.
- A dynamic team environment filled with bright, young, and dedicated colleagues, offering an enriching collaborative experience.
